Friday Funnies

Quote of the Day:
If you can't annoy somebody, there's little point in writing. ~Kingsley Amis

yep, I was wonderfully confident about getting published until I understood how the publishing world really worked ;-)

A screenwriter comes home to a burned down house. His sobbing and slightly-singed wife is standing outside. “What happened, honey?” the man asks.
“Oh, John, it was terrible,” she weeps. “I was cooking, the phone rang. It was your agent. Because I was on the phone, I didn’t notice the stove was on fire. It went up in second. Everything is gone. I nearly didn’t make it out of the house. Poor Fluffy is--” “Wait, wait. Back up a minute,” the man says. “My agent called?”

And a simply hilarious video from author Linnea Sinclair (from Kristin Nelson's Pubrants blog) - on the joys of editing. Click Here.

Happy Weekend!!!

Oh, this is too funny! Just what my hubby would have said adding, "What time did he call? What did he say?"

Too funny! Thanks for my laugh for the day. I should have come by earlier.

Cute! I heard that story.

I saw your comment on Elana's blog and had to check you out because you quoted V Holt, one of my absolute fave authors!

Have a great weekend. :-)

Thanks for all the comments :)

And thanks for stopping by Jessica - Victoria Holt is one of my all time faves! I've read everything she wrote under her name (and have them all on my shelf) and under Phillippa Carr (working on getting all of those). I love her Jean Plaidy stuff, but they are hard to find. My library only has a few, and she has a TON of them....so working on those as well :D
