Friday Funnies

Best rejection letter E.V.E.R. :

We have read your manuscript with boundless delight. If we were to publish your paper, it would be impossible for us to publish any work of lower standard. And as it is unthinkable that in the next thousand years we shall see its equal, we are, to our regret, compelled to return your divine composition, and to beg you a thousand times to overlook our short sight and timidity

Theses are a great way to sart my Friday.
About the kitty-deer...is it any wonder that little pets sometimes run from us? Do you wonder what they really think of humans? LOL

Those are good! And love the LOL Cats.

Why can't I get rejections like that one?

Love the kitty pictures, especially the first one. I used to put the decorations on the low branches just so my cats would have something to entertain themselves with. My parents weren't too impressed, though, especially when we came down each morning to find smashed decorations. :)

So apparently the genre to write is Chinese economic news? I'd love a rejection like that!

So in China it is apparently best to underwhelm editors. Good to know if this whole writing for the Western Hemisphere thing doesn't work out. lol

ROFL! Those are awesome! I especially love the first LOL Cat. And who wouldn't want a rejection letter like that? Seriously? (I mean, obviously no one wants a rejection letter, period. But c'mon!)

Thanks for sharing!

I've seen that Chinese rejection before ... if only Americans could be so wise and tactful.

Ha ha!! I liked the last quote about freelance writers being paid "perhaps." Ah. *wipes tear* Starving writer jokes never get old.

Thanks for the giggle, Michelle!

That cat looks like it could attack at any moment!

Love that rejection letter. :)

Have to laugh at the cat picture. Is there anyone in the world who owns a cat and puts up a Christmas tree who hasn't had an incident?

Wow! I should send more queries to China!
