Okay, so we were supposed to get back to our regularly scheduled blogging as of yesterday, and here we are on Monday morning and I've got....nothing LOL
I think my brain is on turkey overload or something. A combo of too much good food, too much time off of writing (the longer I go without writing, the harder it is to get back into it), a destroyed house that is squashing what little creativity is trying to break free, and two kids who have been on vacation going on 7 days now and have been cooped up in the house due to weather.
How do you find the drive to write when everything in life is conspiring against you?
I know breaks are good and life gets in the way but, if this goes on any longer, I despair of ever writing again.....help :D

If you find out, let me know. I've been a bad writer these last few months.
Silence. Silence helps. And music. And being busy doing mundane things so my mind can wander, come up with new things, remind me of ideas I've had but not yet written down. It makes me excited, gets me in that mode to put some words on the page. :)
I was supposed to be prepared and back in the groove by this morning, but it didn't happen until this afternoon. Oh well!
Michelle, I'm a bad person to try and help give advice when the world demands you procrastinate...but the only thing I have found that forces me to work when I don't wanna is a deadline. That forces me to get to it, when I know I only have a limited amount of time to finish whatever.
Otherwise I just veg and take a break, cause sometimes you just need a good break, until you hear that call again. Every writer will always hear the call sooner or later during these down times.
