NaNo Wins Again...

Ahhh NaNo, how I hate thee, let me count the ways.....

:D

Seriously, I don't know why I try. I think I must have some subconscious aversion to this activity. Last month, I wrote almost 40,000 words without really trying that hard. I'd write anywhere from 1000 to 7000 words a day. This month....I maybe managed about 10% of that.

And now that NaNo is just about over, with the last day looming tomorrow, my motivation to write has jumped into overdrive and I can't WAIT to get to my manuscript. I already have my file open and am forcing myself to go get dressed and write this post before I dive in.

I find this odd...Maybe I'm allergic to NaNo :D

Ah well, I guess as long as the words get written that's all that matters. But I don't know that I'll be attempting NaNo again. I seem to do much better when I don't put a label on my productivity :D

How did everyone else do?

Michelle, you're an iconoclast! Write at your own pace -- you're doing great!

I say bravo for every word you wrote...no matter how fast or long it took you to write it.

Hee hee. Muses sure like to mess with our heads, don't they? I didn't try my hand at NaNo this year. I never have, actually. Maybe next year will be the year I try.

Happy writing, Michelle.

Mine was a total fail, but I learned that you need to do a bit more planning (or a lot more), if you're going to write a novel in a month.

I learned last year that NaNo wasn't for me! I just can't speed along like that! But bravo to anyone who can!

I think if I tried NaNo, I'd stress out so badly I'd never get anything written!

LOL I just find it funny that I can pull Nano numbers on any other day of the year, but make it in Nov and call it NaNo and I suddenly forget how to write :D

Your Muse is striking against unneeded pressure. Take it as a sign: he/she doesn't like force, or demands. Good luck with your story.

I was working on my wip so I can start querying it, and I hadn't finished planning my new project before NaNo started.

The timing never works out for me and NaNo. Maybe next year.

I didn't even do NaNo this year! First year in four I bowed out (gracefully, I must add). School was waaaay too much already and the thought of adding NaNo onto a full school load made me cringe.

There's always next year, not to mention all the months that will lead up to next year :D

Cheers!
